Joshua is a landscape and documentary photographer based in the west of Scotland.

He initially studied photography at West College Scotland (HNC & HND) before completing his honours degree in photography (communication design) at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Joshua was awarded the Gray's School of Art Critical & Contextual Studies Dissertation prize in 2023 for his dissertation entitled " Demarcation Imagery In Northern Ireland". He has also completed several online courses focused on restoration photography

Joshua has exhibited his work in various venues such as Art Galleries, Pop-up studios and online spaces across Scotland.

Joshua has worked with his local education department, designing and producing transition books for Early years establishments, Primary and Secondary schools. He has also done various work with some local churches.

Joshua has been an invited guest lecturer at the University of Stirling, sharing his knowledge of documentary photography with social science students.

Joshua has worked on nationally funded documentary projects, some of which can be viewed in the documentary section. He has collaborated with living history projects in Clackmannanshire, the first with high school children in Alloa and more recently with the Thursday Club, a social space for marginalised adults in Clackmannanshire.
